Effective September 2026. FaceShapeAnalyzer is a free tool. This policy explains exactly what does and doesn't happen to your photo and your data — as explicitly and specifically as we can, because we know a face photo is sensitive.
When you choose or take a photo, it is loaded directly into your browser and processed there using Google's MediaPipe FaceLandmarker model running via WebAssembly and WebGL. There is no upload step — this site has no server-side image processing, no image storage, and no way to receive a copy of your photo even if it wanted to. The photo exists only as pixels drawn onto an in-page <canvas> element and a JavaScript image object; it is never written to a cookie, to localStorage, to IndexedDB, or to any other form of persistent storage on your device, and it is never transmitted anywhere. Closing the tab, refreshing the page, or uploading a new photo discards it completely. The landmark points, measurements, and shape result you see are all computed and rendered locally in your browser and disappear the same way.
Loading this page causes your browser to make a small number of standard network requests that any website makes: the HTML/CSS/JavaScript files themselves, and two third-party resources needed for face detection — the MediaPipe Tasks Vision library (loaded from jsDelivr, a public CDN) and the FaceLandmarker model file (loaded from Google's public model storage). Like any web request, these necessarily expose your IP address and browser information to those infrastructure providers as a normal part of how the internet works — but they are code and model-weight downloads only, and at no point does your photo, or anything derived from it, get sent as part of those requests or anywhere else.
This site uses standard, anonymous Google Analytics (page views, referrer, country, browser type) and Microsoft Clarity (anonymized heatmaps and session recordings of on-page interactions, used to spot broken UI, not to identify you) to understand overall usage. This site also shows ads served by Adsterra, a third-party ad network, which may set its own cookies or use similar technology to serve relevant ads — we don't control what Adsterra does with that beyond serving ads on this site; see Adsterra's own privacy policy for details. We don't add any other ad pixels or cross-site tracking ourselves.
There are no accounts or sign-up to use the free tool. If you buy the optional Pro upgrade, Stripe (our payment processor) collects your email and payment details to process the purchase — we never see or store your card number. We store your email and purchase record so you can restore Pro on another device later (via a 6-digit code sent to that email, no password). That's the only personal data this site ever holds, and it's never sold or shared beyond what's needed to process your purchase. It is never linked to any photo you analyze — the photo itself never leaves your browser, as explained above.
